- Apply evenly and generously to clean, dry skin 15 minutes before sun exposure.
- Ensure all exposed areas are covered, especially areas that are prone to sun radiation e.g., face, nose, receding hairline, shoulders, back and feet.
- Never spray product directly onto face. First spray onto hand and carefully apply.
- Avoid contact with eyes. Allow product to fully dry before getting dressed.
- Ideally conduct a patch test before use.
- First time users and those with a pale complexion or sensitive skin are advised to re-apply 10 minutes after initial application to ensure full and even coverage.

Do I need to apply sun cream when it is not particularly sunny or hot?
Yes, sunscreen is still required. Even when the sky is overcast, UV radiation levels are still at 80% of their normal levels. The temperature can be deceptive - a breeze can keep you cool, but it doesn't affect UV levels. Look up the UV index for your area to make sure you're using protection when you need to be.
Do Once A Day sunscreens really work for the whole day after a single application?
Yes! They keep their effectiveness by binding more strongly to the skin, so they last longer. Our Calypso Once A Day range is rigorously tested to ensure that even after 8 hours of wear, it still offers the SPF on the label. You should be extra careful to apply enough of the product and make sure all exposed skin is covered. However, please remember that even water-resistant Once A Day sunscreens can still be washed off if you spend a long time in the water or if you dry yourself with a towel, so you might need to reapply.
Why does Calypso not display the UVA star rating on its packaging?
Calypso SPF products meet all UVA and UVB standards and are rigorously tested to ensure their effectiveness. The star rating system was designed by Boots (retailer) and is not recognised as industry standard, nor is it regulated.
The letters "UVA" inside a circle is a European industry standard marking, which is contained on all Calypso products.

Never fails - Calypso products are great
Calypso products are fantastic, well put together they typical overachieve industry standards. If youve never used Once a day then your missing a trick. Apply, wait 15 mins and then forget. Brilliant stuff, weve used there range of once a day from Spain to Florida to Marrakesh and its never failed us. Yes - I would recommend this to a friend Yes - I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent product
I had difficulty getting hold of my usual day-long sun cream so took a chance on this. . As others have said, its a gel and not a cream, but it absorbs super fast and its easy to apply. 2 weeks in day-long sunshine over 30 degrees and I have a good tan and no sunburn. I also usually suffer from heat rash but not with this product. Yes - I would recommend this to a friend

under makeup long were sunscreen
Some folks mentioned it peels but for some reason I found it didn't peel but found sun cream 30 spf by garnier did peel and always got in my eyes. This stuff stays put does fine under make up. I also use their spray which goes fine over make up with no bad effects. I I use a facial oil (rose-hip, avocado and rapeseed) to seal my moisturiser. It's 40 spf and 4 star uvas important to fight aging and the longware means replying sunscreen doesn't need to involve washing face and reapplying make up. I use the spray to reapply if it's sunny and i've been AT LEAST outside 4+ plus hours, I only use a fine mist. I'm was considering getting another brand for face but this seems ok, I take good care of my skin and seeing the spf and uva protection is the best preventive anti-aging product one can use I choose a strong one that lasts without needing to reapply makeup (most sunscreens need replied every 2 hours that you are exposed to the sun so every min in the sun counts),,has good spf and at least 4 stars uva . As my skiin health is good and I use an oil barrier before applying I am happy with this , I also like the spray and even though spray has drying ingredients over a full face of make up it is fine and makes replying easy without ruining my make up (I just need to dust with setting powder again after easy peeazy lemon squeezie ) . However if I change my mind or notice poor skin/reddness I will update.

Ive used P20 for about 18 years now, but my partner tans easily and thinks he doesnt tan using it, so I bought the factor 10 of this to try. Ive been using it too this holiday. It goes on easier than p20, although it smells very strongly of alcohol, that dissipates very quickly. All i would say is try to work fast and dont overwork it into your skin or rub too much over bits youve already done, or it can ball up and leave little bits on the skin. I would definitely buy this again. I havent burnt once inspite being in 30 degree heat. I still think this can mark clothing just as p20 does, so make sure its dry before putting on anything white, and do be prepared to add stain remover to your wash. Or just dont wear anything white whilst wearing it!

best ever sun protection
Been using Calypso for two years now on sunny vacations. Would not use any other product now. Comes in various "sun factors" according to your needs. Its a cool gel that absorbs readily - you have to wait to go into the sun for 15 minutes according to the instructions but this is not a big issue as you can be getting ready meanwhile to go out. Does not provide moisturising so it's a good idea to get Calypso After Sun (or any type really) for later after your shower. Useable on face but don't get near or into eyes and hold your breath while applying to face as fumes are quite strong. Don't be mean with it and don't try to rub it in too vigorously - try do do more of a "spreading" technique Fantastic product. It is a once a day application IF you don't go swimming and then towel down therefore I re-apply or go swimming last thing - it's your choice .

Great once-a-day sunscreen. It's a clear gel, very easy and smooth to apply, and doesn't leave a residue on your hands. No need to reapply! During application there may be a strong smell, but this disappears almost instantly. I've used this sunscreen for several years now and found it to provide good protection.

my new sunscreen of choice
I bought a bottle of this and a bottle of the factor 30. I used the factor 30 in Colombia and it did exactly as advertised - provided non-greasy all day protection from one application. I used the factor 20 for a trip to Greece in April and I didn't burn and ended up with a lovely tan - I've found my preferred brand of sunscreen and can't see that I'll change any time soon!
